INTRODUCING TAPSLAM

Hands full?
Just tap to open.

Imagine opening a food trolley door without having to put down the food you are carrying.

TapSlam® lets you open the door with a simple tap, load the trolley and close it with a firm push. A simple idea that makes a repeated task easier, throughout the working day.

Tap. Load. Slam.

 Experience the flow.

  • Tap to open
Press the lock with the edge of the pan you are holding.
  • Load it
Open the door and place the pan inside the Ergo Line trolley.
  • Slam to close
Push the door shut. No hands needed.
  • Secure for transport
Slide the lock down and the door stays closed on the move.

Busy kitchens call for simple solutions

In busy foodservice environments, every second counts. Smooth interaction between staff, food and equipment is essential for a good workflow. But conventional door mechanisms often require extra steps when hands are full.

To avoid losing time, operators naturally rely on workarounds. But these workarounds come with consequences.

Familiar workarounds. Hidden risks.

Balancing pans...

  • People – Balancing hot or heavy pans increases physical strain and the risk of burns or dropped pans.
  • Food – Dropped pans leads to unnecessary food waste and disruption of kitchen flow.
  • Operations – A workaround that saves seconds in the moment but creates a less stable and less efficient workflow over time.

...or leaving the door open

  • Food quality – Longer door opening times disrupt the controlled holding environment and make it harder to maintain consistent temperatures.
  • Energy – More time with the door open means more unnecessary heat loss and increased energy consumption to restore the temperature.
